Headed downstairs to fix the input jacks on my son's Peavey TNT 130 bass amp. The great thing about old amps: you CAN fix them. Better if you cacn show the kid the inner working at the same time.

Man, I love old Peavey gear. No board-mounted jacks here. Quality Switchcraft jacks, with a short wiring harness and a Molex connector attaching it to the PC board. I just popped them out, reflowed all the joints, (though I'm sure they didn't really need it) wire-brushed the aluminum chassis around the jack holes, gave them a shot of contact cleaner, and put it all back together. Easiest amp repair job ever.

Kid's happy cause his amp works again, and Dad's happy cause he hasn't had to put a cent into this $200 amp to keep it working.

Makes me want to buy the Bandit 65 that's in the classifieds for myself.

Always have fond memories of my old Peavey Gear. Thirty years ago. It was inexpensive sturdy and dependable. Good Stuff.
