My first [most of a] DR

I just had to.

DRRI Guts, most of them...

Pulls from a working DRRI to PTP conversion, which over $1000.00 later he is selling cause he does not like it, whew! Spensive mistake... Buy a DRRI, then invest over a grand into it, when you can get nice SFDR all day for $900.00ish, no?

Anyway, 100.00 cash seemed like a good start..

Wonder if I can somehow shoehorn thin into the nice pine 5E3 cab I have. That cab has been waiting for a 5E3 kit to come my way...

Would it be to terrible to make a chassis for the 5E3 ?

Not being too familiar with DRRI, I thought there shoud be another PCB with the tube sockets [like the PV Classic 50 I have], Apparently not...

A chassis is no big deal to make. If you can bend sheet metal and drill the holes in the right places. (or half fast close in my case)
So after all that he didn't like the amp ? Must'a had two grand into it. I'm thinking you could by a BFDR for that with a few bucks left over.

You got all that for $100? Good Deal! there's $150-200 worth of transformers and choke plus everything else. There's vendors on Ebay that have chassis for not very much and you could buy everything else at any of several places- Weber, Mojo, TubeDepot, AES. Blackface cabs are pretty simple, you could try making your own. Don't worry about the finger joints, if you don't have a table saw or router and dovetail jig, you can just put it together with but joints and reinforce it with 1/4" dowels spaced an 1" apart.

I have been looking on eBay and not seen anything price friendly as this time, chassis wise... I am going to need the trem module or have to make one, yes ? I have a 1966-7 Gibbs 17" Hammond reverb tank, and lots of speakers, including a SFD/PRO 12" Oxfart from the 70s.

So when I collect some part if I do not trade this off first, I will sure be seeking help here...

Cab, no problem, I got the goods for that.

Funny part is I had a 74 DR Cab in great shape I got in trade with a speaker in it last year I sold on eBay. I got it basically free or little as pat of the trade. Sold it on eBay for 167.00 pretty fast. Sorta wish I had still it. ;)

One of my revenue producing ideas is to make matching DR cab and Tele [or just body] for my Proto Paisley. See below... So I can make the proto cab now....

Identify DRRI Components please ?

Are the circled boards an issue ?

Is the right circles the trem? or is that on the PCB ?

And the power in side, some filtering going on there ?

I have seen that picture as well. Other pics do not have those components. There are some differences in the years. Building the same amp here:

Lots of planning. I paid just a little more than you for the same components. My total build is at $466 including nuts, paint, tolex, everything.

Probably start with the 70s Fender/DR/Pro Oxford I have already. And I have a few others I may try out in my stash, Weber Cali, 12A150, Red Fang [in my AC15 currently] G12H-30. but will probably lean this clean and bright, I have a few gainy amp already with speaker that compress and do brit well.
