Broken Mini Amp
I have a Fender Mini Tone Master amp that fell off a shelf about a year ago and stopped working. I recently pulled it out and opened up the back of it, expecting to find a cracked circuit board or a broken solder joint, but everything seems to be fine.
I know this is a long shot given the limited info, but any idea what the problem might be? I'll post pics if it helps. I have a small idea of how electronics work and have some solder skills, but I'm pretty far removed from being any kind of expert in this area. I mostly just play. Thanks

Somethings got to be broken on it. Get a magnifying glass and check every trace and component until you find it. Honestly, unless you can find the problem and fix it yourself, it's probably trash. You could get a new one for less than someone would charge to even look at it.

I'd just treat it like a Bic lighter, and toss it. What's a new one cost? $25 or $30? Not worth messing with at that price IMHO.

Try just cleaning all the pots and jacks first. I had a similar amp and it would only work when I gave it a good smack on the top of the cabinet. A general cleaning, touch up all the solder joints, tested the speaker with a 9 volt, and everything is good now. If this doesn't fix it you have to start replacing components.

Okay, I'll try some of this stuff. I'm not gonna go out and get a new one, but it's handy to have. And either I let it sit and it's worthless or dive in and there's a chance I might fix something. So I'll give it a go.
