Fuse holder source?

Looking for an in-line fuse holder for a Musicmaster amp that I have acquired that lacks a fuse (as do most of these models) something that I can put in the hot line coming in, inside the chassis, but without drilling the chassis.

Recall at some point seeing a picture of a fuse holder inside a MMB chassis that was attached to one of the chassis screws - somthing like that would likely work as well.

Can't seem to find what I am looking for. Suggestions other than the in-line idea also welcome.

www.mouser.com

I would install a regular chassis mount fuse holder though if there is a spot to do so. Otherwise pain in the butt to replace a fuse.

Yeah, you can even get in-line and chassis-mount fuse holders at your local Radio Shack. Granted, they're not the best quality... okay, they're the worst quality you can get... but they will work in a pinch.

Futurlec has these on line for about $1.50 or less. Otherwise Triode Electronics, Angela Instruments, etc.

For an inline fuse holder go to your nearest auto parts store, for every other conceivable fuse holder check Newark Electronics.

One more Q -

I found the inline job at my local auto parts store - looks like it will work - wire looks stout enough on the "heavy duty" one - but it says it is for 36 volts - that can't work in a 110 line coming in, can it?

I'm a lawyer and so I appreciate your use of weasel words - and thank you for the advice.

HA, I like that term 'weasel words', but tell me which was it: 'can't say for sure', 'anything harmful' or my patented 'buuuut'?

Do you do family law? See, I've got this ex-wife...

The "can't say for sure" and the "wouldn't want you to do anything harmful" are good weasel words for avoiding liability in the event I follow your advice and end up burning my house down and try to blame you. Weasel words are gold to a good lawyer.

As for family law - I am a criminal defense lawyer. I learned a long time ago that I'd rather deal with dope dealin' armed robbin' gang bangers than people in the midst of divorce, property dissolution, and child custody matters. At least with criminals you are working with people with some sense of fairness and proportion, comparatively speaking.
