Reverb Tank Help

Just wondering if anyone can help.

I have just purchased an old Gibson GA-18T amp which is fitted with an after market Hoffman Valve Reverb Unit (from the 60's 70's I guess). It's a type 4 Reverb pan. The filament holder at one end of a spring broke. I would like to try and fix the original if possible.

The end cap has the filament hook soldered into it with a bobbin and the spring attaches to that. Looking at it, if I can get another end cap with a hook I guess I can pull off the old one and push on the new and reattach the spring.

Am I being too simplistic. If not, would anyone have a suitable unit from their pile of spares that they would be willing to sell & send to Australia?

The amp sounds great, lots of lovely grind and sustain. A tad shrill with some single coils but turning the down the tone slightly cures that. I'm dying to hear it with the reverb happening - it should be sort of a Gibson Tweed Princeton Reverb - how's that for a mix!
