16 Ohm speaker help needed.
Hi,
My kit maker strongly suggests a 16 Ohm speaker and I'm having a custom cabinet made for a .5 or 2 watt 10" combo amp. It looks like the 16 Ohm and 10 inch speaker desire limit my options. I want my amp to be able to sit on a desk top and be fairly narrow so my thoughts are the larger than most little amp speaker would help make more percussive sounds but a 12" would be too big. Any suggestions for a 10" low power and ideal at lower volumes setup? Thank you. |

Look up Ted Weber, his signature series is probably right up your alley, and he does make 16 ohm speakers...
You might also want to think about an 8" speaker-still very percussive, and in the right cabinet, shouldn't be much difference in sound... Franc Robert
