Line 6 Guitar Port

I just traded some old stuff for a Line 6 Guitar port, and I can't for the life of me figure out what to do with it.

So far all I can do with it is make my computer into a guitar amp.
I can't figure out how to record with it.

Nothing makes sense.

Any ideas would be helpful..

Thanks!

Well, what recording program do you have in your computer?

Cheers, Tim

In GTP (I have version 3), in the mix view, click on the input button (under the track name) and select GuitarPort as your input. Then click the R button above the fader. When you strum, you should see that GTP is getting a signal. See the manual for how to record...

Well I just hooked the output into one of the inputs of my mixer. I did not know it works as a totally analog unit, and only uses USB to change modes on the thing.

Sort of a poor mans POD, but since I traded stuff I did not pay for to start with, it's not a bad deal at all.

Hey, this thing is a lot of fun, if you can afford the subscription!
