new studio (okay it is in my garage) being put together

Okay, awhile back my hot water heater distributed hot water to my entire garage.... I did a thread on tankless hot water heaters and decided that the hot water could go outside and I could make a home studio/man cave...

I don't have great 'before' pics... but, here are three of the progress so far! Markl8 teased me when I said it would take me 8 weeks to convert the garage... well, he was right! It took me 10 weeks...but, I'm pretty excited...

I put cabinets, cupboards and tabletops for various 'boy' tasks and home office things... put in an epoxy floor like in fancy auto shops and made sure that while the cabinets all look symetrical they actually create non square surfaces so that I could reduce corner loading etc... Anyway, here is the progress to today... the electrician comes monday and I should have it running in a week or so.

My daughter hung a sign outside mine that says "Do Not Feed Bear"

It's quite spacious but where is your lawnmower going to go. Looks like it has great potential.

No lawnmower! Got some local fellers who do the lawn. I built a really nice shed last summer for all the holiday storage stuff, mementos, tax files and the powerwasher etc. The cupboards etc are for guitar and music stuff, tools (but not my table saw--> that goes in the shed too)

I'm gonna get some area rugs to deaden the room and some of those padded tiles for the weight stuff...

our drummer is putting in a building on his property nearby just for rehearsal, picnics and full group recordings.

I think we're gonna try and do some recording in my converted garage in a few weeks. I still need to do some sound treatment...

Cheers, Tim
