Native Instruments "Guitar Combos" software?

Just installed this amp sim software. It contains simple modelling of Fender, Vox and Marshall amps. First impression is that I love the Fender model, especially the clean tone, but find the Vox and Marshall tones a little 'boxy' sounding. The presets supplied all seem to me to be a bit 'over the top' with distortion. Of course I'll have fun hunting around for my favourite sounds, but if any of you have any tips or hints...
Thanks,Tony.

Put an eq plugin on the track, better with a low pass filter and get rid of the high end freq. Try around 2.5khz and gradually work up. Not sure how to get rid of distortion but that will get rid of some of the annoying distortion.

Try using other plugins you might have in combination with it (reverb).

Guitar Rig 2 is supposed to have similar amp mods and i find this helps, and I also find the clean amp mods are well done too.

Have you looked at GSuite yet. These are very good and free.

Just go to the CURRENT TECHNOLOGY link and there is a downloadable zip file there.

Tony,

How are you liking Guitar Combos? I just ordered it from zzounds. They have it for 59.00!
