I picked up one of those new Boss Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb pedals today in my search for a good way to record guitar. (Which is why I'm posting here and not the pedal forum, I didn't get it to put in front of an amp.)
I'm just looking for basic guitar sounds that I like right now. So far I'd say I like it, obviously I haven't had it very long. I did a quick recording over a backing track I had, three 12 bar choruses, the first four bars of each has the least gain, the middle four medium gain, the last four maximum gain, relative volume adjusted on the Mbox. I did it that way so I could hear the different settings going back and forth.
Nocaster bridge pickup into the Boss (no reverb or trem), into a Palmer PDI-09 "Junction" DI box (on "Bright" for anyone familiar with that unit), into an original Mbox into protools, no reverb or anything else added, and none of my usual attempts to disguise my questionable playing!
