Low Cost Options for adding Hammond B3 tracks to recordings?

Hi all-
I often record on tracks on my PC using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro, which I believe is based on the SONAR Software. My setup up is very simple (POD into stock PC sound card). My recordings usually just consist of:

Drum Tracks (from ACID Loop files)
Guitar Tracks
Bass Tracks

I have often thought it would be fun to add an organ track to have some cool Hammond B3-sounding chords swirling around in the background. Since this is just a hobby for me, the funds I have available for this are limited. So...does anyone have a low cost (let's say $300 or less) suggestion on how I could get some decent Hammond B3 sounds into my recordings?

Thanks all!

Thanks for the info, fezz1 That software looks pretty slick.

If I understand correctly, B4 would interface to my Recording software through a VST adapter, right?

Yep VST wrapper, or whatever Cakewalk calls it.

...And oh man does it sound good. I looooooove the B3 sounds, and the NIB4 has all the best ones. It's one of the very few digital models of something that I really feel holds it's own well against the real thing.

Yes, the NI B4 is the way to go. Very authentic sounds, the next best thing to the real thing.

Nubi works, it's free.

Organized Trio works, also free but it's an older version that has been superseded.

Organized Trio sells the new version, haven't tried it because I'm using the two free ones mentioned above.

Have you thought about buying an actual Hammond organ? I've got two Hammond M3 organs, one from the '50s and one from the '60s. I paid $250 for one and $135 for the other. There are some great deals out there if you keep our eyes peeled.

that may be. the question is still relevant, though, to folks who want a b3 sound in their recordings.

what's more, the answer to the question may have changed since the question was originally asked, as technology marches on and new software is constantly created.

so it seemed reasonable to me that since i was interested in the same subject, even several years later, i would provide a couple of alternatives not suggested in the original responses. anyone who reads the thread now has more choices than they had before.

lo and behold, another good reason to revive a zombie thread. native instruments apparently has discontinued their B4 package, which was suggested in the responses to the original post.

the new native instrument package for hammond sounds is called Vintage Organs.
