ThumbTacks Microphone $10
I'm about the buy a really high quality condensor mic but I have mostly been recording short clips on my phone's voice memos app. I imagine a lot of people on here do the same. I had an iPhone and those were surprisingly good quality but I then switched to a Droid as an act of general protest against Apple.
Much to my chagrin the Samsung's mic was much worse but I found these "ThumbTacks" mics on Amazon as a possible solution. Their reviews are mixed but I'd say mostly positive. It couldn't be easier since they plug into the 3.5 mm jack and should work with Native recording apps. Haven't seen many good demo clips of it but there's a few around the web. Any experiences or thoughts? http://www.amazon.com/Switcheasy-Thu...ack+microphone |

Those cheap mics don't look great; they might even be worse than what you have already. The problem is you've downgraded your phone and now you're trying to compensate for it (I'm not trying to start a fight, just following your own comments). How about buying a separate digital voice/memo recorder? Get one with a USB connection and you can drag'n'drop into your computer.
