Do you reckon thats collectors rather than real users ? As you probably know there are plenty of good bass drum mics for less than that brand new.

These are presumably people who do record, It's just that varying cost between the three and paying over £400 for a dynamic that are surprising. Any kind of Beatles association (or fandom haha) tends to cause loss of sensation to the rational facilities it appears.

What are Senn 409s going for these days? They prices for those went through the roof after they discontinued them and brought out the 609.

If you can find them or the md509's it is often over £400. Very infrequent. Must not have been that many made.
