Well I did the best I could in the time frame I allotted myself. I didn't want to get to deep in the mixing quagmire so here they are. Enjoy.

For demos they are sounding good esp the vox & gtr. The bass tracks are a bit strange though, they tend to be out of time in some places and do not "sit" so well in the mix, first song too small, last two songs too loud. You could try using a compressor for the bass and drums and routing them together before they hit it. Or a bus compressor for the whole mix.

After spending so much time on them I was chasing my own tail. Plus, I gave myslef a deadline. Besides being compressed to MP3's

The primary goal of these "demos" is for people who book clubs/bars to check out our webpage, hear the songs, and then hopefully book us. So the medium that most of them will be listening will be MP3's. We do have burned CD's for those who have not ventured into the world of the internet.

The tracks were cut live so the miced bass amp was being picked up by other mics. I tried to compensate by using the DI bass track. I think on "Before You Cuse' Me" the bass sounded the best out of the three tracks.

I still have them stored on my harddrive so I can get to play with them and add instruments, always a learning experience.

I think they'll work for your previously expressed intent to use this demo to get gigs. If I understand correctly, you're done with the tracks, so this critique is more for future reference.

From a technical standpoint, I agree with Winny that the bass is inconsistent from track to track ... I can empathize, because I find bass the hardest instrument to "lay in there." In addition to his comments, I think it could benefit from a little bump at ~8K to give it some authority and presence on smaller speakers.

From what I'm hearing, the snare on the first two tunes is up in the vocal frequencies, a sort of brash snarey sound that might benefit from a dip around 2K-3K ... that would let the punch from lower mids come through.

As always, JMO! Good job and a decent demo.

For now I am done with the tracks but I as I stated I do intend to revist them later and take them apart and re-build with some if the info gathered here.
