WHY??? OH GOD WHY????

%#&@. All i want is a simple 4/4 drum beat with maybe one or 2 fills. I tried the Midi controls in Reaper but it's like...

Enlighten me TDPRI. Anyone know of a drum track maker that is simple, has drum sample packs included, has regular drum samples (not the electronic BS), and can be easily integrated with reaper.

Thank you.

ahh yes, the old, "i'm a customer with specific demands.. including that I'm not actually a customer, I am a freeloader with demands."

if you want free, you gotta accept some limitations.

A few years ago I sampled my drum set before selling it so I now "build" all my beats. It can be time consuming but it works well.
PM me a mailing address and I´ll send you a CD of my samples. (I´m on dialup so sending them over the web aint gonna happen.)

There are plenty of free midi grooves out there that should be just drag and drop (never used Reaper, but can't imagine it's much different), and then all you need are the samples that are being triggered. Plenty of those out there for free as well. I think there are a few midi/electronic musician oriented magazines that have monthly free downloadable content both groove and sample-wise.

Not sure if there's free version out there but I've been using Reason Adapted's Redrum. Very easy to use.
