Focusrite 2i2 interface latency on reaper
I have had my 2i2 audio interface for about a month now and have been getting to grips with some recording (I am using reaper).
However I am unable to get rid of the latency. According the the Asio Configuration the input latency is 11.3 ms and the output is 16.3 ms. When I try reducing the buffer length it results in popping and clicking. I do have the latest driver installed and the older one deleted so it’s not down to that. If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated as its stopping me from properly recording. |

Don't know the unit, but you might try this: When you're tracking, mute the channel that's being recorded. (You do have the most recent driver installed, right?)

Does the 2i2 come with Mixcontrol? This is where you adjust the levels for play back and monitoring. You can turn up the already recorded stuff and turn down what you are playing (or vice versa) here. You must turn off the monitoring for the track you are recording in your DAW.
Also try the Focurite site for help. You can email them re. your problem. I have done this before and found them to be very prompt and helpful. There is also info in the FAQ's re. setting up your computer for recording which can be helpful also. |

No, the Scarlett 2i2 is not compatible with Scarlett MixControl. All of its controls are hardware based instead. To change buffer size and sample rate go to the audio preferences in your DAW (Mac) or press the control panel button from the audio preferences in your DAW (PC)
