Are either of these hand-held recorders recommended here for simple recording and overdubbing one part? Any experience with them anyone??
My daughter wants one to record her voice, then overdub another vocal part. And also to record her kids! Thanks for any info.

I bought a dr-40 about a month ago or so, and have been using it to capture song ideas. I love it for that. I have not overdubbed with it yet, but from what I can tell from the manual it would work fine for that. You just have to get the right mix between the two parts right going in, because you can't adjust afterwards.
