hi guys, i just made the software update on my h2 recorder. now it works really fine, the light stays on and the settings will be remebered. i also do the recordings now on the very best settings with the built-in compressor on "general" mode. maybe this helps someone. eddie

this is a good resource page. I know mine shipped with the old firmware and I had to update it...
