The iPod Touch, The App Store & The Elusive Pony

Well... I've ordered an iPod Touch and downloaded "Sonoma Wire Works FourTrack" and then I went to the App Store to look for more music/recording oriented type software.

Now I have a question the app store just has one generic "music" category with no subcategories there's 147 pages of stuff and I can't make it past 20 pages without wanting to punch somebody.

So anyway have you found any good apps besides FourTrack? Can someone point me in the right direction?

With all this manure I know there's just got to be a pony in here somewhere

...

Second that - the iStrobeSoft by Peterson is amazing. Love the ambient filter/adjuster.
$9.99 - - the best most valuable App I have purchased from the store.

I ordered the "Peterson Adaptor Cable" it hasn't got here yet.

Quote:
• This adaptor cable has been specifically designed to function with your iPhone™ or iPod touch® (2nd Gen.).

• Connect an instrument or microphone with a 1/4” plug directly into your device using the headphone jack.

• The perfect accessory when used with iStroboSoft™ by Peterson Tuners.

• Directly plug in your guitar or bass for tuning or use an external microphone (required for iPod touch) to tune brass or wind instruments.

• Can be used with any application requiring an audio input.

• Will not interfere with charger connector.

Hi,

Any of you have or try the Guitar or Tab Toolkit apps from Agile Partners?

How or why are you recording? Making simple loops, practice? I do have simple looping in my Pandora but admit that it's not convenient to use without a foot pedal like my JamMan.

Regardless the Touch purchase seems like it would be enjoyed by the kids.

Thanks.

I've only had it a week and so far my most used app is
Ferrari GT: Evolution...

And the Peterson iStroboSoft tuner.

My favorite non-musical app is called Wattpad. Download and read free books.

Thanks for the heads up on the musical apps. Strobe tuner for ten bucks? Sweet!
