Microphone University

this looks like a nice resource for recording and mic'ing techniques, from DPA microphones:

whaaaaat? Those crazy Danes don't even have 'harmonica' on there! Regional thing, I guess, as I haven't seen a lot of 'balalaikas' or 'gu zhengs' around town.

All kidding aside, my parents now have my grandma's concert pedal harp. about that size, and gold plated, too. Easier to 'see' music on the harp, like the piano, it's all laid out in a row. Even has colored strings every octave, I think.

yeah, I guess we really can't 'accurately' test their suggestions without the actual mics they used. I'll call 'em here in a bit, hopefully loud, clear English will do the trick. I'm pretty sure the Europeans find that pretty charming.

What? Is there some kind of indoor rule? Put that baby in the front yard, finally yard art that's useful!

reminds me of that scene in Vacation where the House of Mud (or is it the WOrld's largest ball of string?)...is ONLY FOUR SHORT HOURS AWAY!

I'd have to chain it to the porch or the college kids might try to make off with it and I'd get sued for their hernia operations.
