Did you check the manual? You know now would be the time to get yourself introduced to the wonderful world of "puch-ins" and "punch outs".
Seriously, you need to read the manual. Each manufacturer has a different way of deleating tracks, some easy and some that are buried within a load of button pushing.

Hi I thank you for your replay and i did read the manual but it does not say anything about deleting just one track. if you like to go on line and look at the manual may be there is something i am missing. and you can spot it here is the site. you have to download it from the site and it dont take long.

"CUT
This function deletes the material between the IN and OUT points on the chosen track or tracks and “closes up” the gap."....page 49 OR "CLEAN OUT This deletes all the material in a track or tracks. The IN and OUT points do not have any meaning here. … There is only one value that you can change: Src. Trk Select an individual track (1 through 8), a pair of tracks (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8), or all the tracks (1-8). Press YES to perform the operation or NO to leave this screen.".....page 50 You're welcome very much but I am not making you a cup of tea. |

Check to see if you have to have the track "armed" when you do this function?

Quote:
When a song is protected, it cannot be edited, and further recording is not possible. Of course, it cannot be erased, either. 1 From the SONG menu, select the PROTECT action: 2 Use the wheel to change protection from OFF to ON and press ENTER. … In lists of songs for copying, deletion, etc., a “padlock” icon ( ) appears beside any protected songs. … If you try to do an action which cannot be performed on a protected song, a message appears (Song Protected). … Unprotect a song by following the steps above, but changing ON to OFF." ..........page 39 Maybe this is it. Was only joking about the tea |
