recording digital and use of FX

I believe I've heard that you can group tracks so one set of VST FX will work on those tracks without having to load FX into each track thereby saving processing and memory power...anybody know anything about this?

Thanks

We do know something about this! What are you using to record? I use Reaper and this is extremely easy to do in Reaper but whatever you are using, I am sure someone here can guide you.

Hey Daddydex that's what I use Reaper with my Presonus Firestudio Project....8 Tracks at once just eats me up on my laptop.

Cheers

Easy as pie then! Add a new track, insert desired effect. Click on IO (right below the phase button and right above the FX button on the mixer). You will see a drop down box for both sends and receives. In this instance we will use receives. Just pick your tracks from the drop down box. If you are still confused let me know.
