Mixer headphone amp sounds bad
It took me a long time to figure this out, but if I plug the phone into the control room out, I get a much better sound. It was so thin and tinny! I can actually place a mic and hear the results now! Yes, I had wondered why the track sounded better on playback than when I monitored it. It's a behringer 802A. Do other mixers have this problem? And can you recommend a small mixer with better sound (and that I can use to monitor the inputs...I use aux send to record the live track)?
No I can't monitor at my A/D device (except of course the latent output).
