Olympus LS-10 versus Sony PCM D50
I have narrowed it down to The Olympus LS-10 or the Sony PCM D50 for my hand held recorder purchase
Any opinions? My 2 cents.......dilemma: Olympus = $100 less (about $399) BUT 2GB memory versus 4GB for the Sony.....DOES however come with Case, Windscreen (a "must have" I hear), and strap, features which the Sony does NOT have (The Sony windscreen is $50!!!) Oh...what to DO???!!!! |

The Olympus can be had for about $250 these days. A co-worker has one and is very happy. He's pretty picky, so I've decided it's on my short list. The Sony is still a lot more $. Only the Zoom H4N has my eye, but that's another $100...

That Olympus unit looks promising. I would recommend getting an external mic, since the built in mics on any of these recorders picks up any handling noise. I'd be interested in hearing audio samples of the LS-10.
