HOW TO POST MP3's FOR FREE *IMPORTANT*
Okay...very easy to do (Gravedigger helped with the instructions on how to host);
1) If you have "Microsoft Front Page" on your computer, you can make your own special backround graphics and headings as well as write text in whatever size and/or color you wish. If you need some help with this, IM me on AIM at kingdice86. 2) Create an account at http://www.angelfire.com 3) After doing so, go to "Web Shell" at in the upper right hand corner. When you get there, go to "File Upload". Upload your file (mp3) to the list of your files (may take several minutes), and click on "index.html" and select edit. When you enter "Basic Editor Standard", go to "step 8" mid-way to the bottom of the page. Now wipe out their links and type the name of the file you wish to make a link for on your site (type it in just as it looks on the file list from the previous page - example; "October.mp3", or whetever you named it). 4) Go to the bottom and hit "Save". Now you at least have it up there. After hitting "Save", it should take you back to "Web Shell" page. Scroll up and click on the link that has your address at the top of the page to enter your site. Now take the URL and copy it to your clipboard, and you are ready to paste it on your post! This should have you set to go. Hopefully you will have your free hosted site with up to 20 MB of free space (of course as Gravedigger helped point out, watch your bandwidth; don't go telling everybody to visit the site, or else Angelfire will close your it). 5) If you are not satisfied with the look of your page, you can simply edit the info on the "Basic Editor Standard" page (erase their info and and leave the slots blank). You can also put up your own HTML (by using a program like "Microsoft Front Page") and copying the actual written HTML to the "Step 9 Box" of the "Basic Editor Standard" page. If you have any questions about any of it, feel free to PM, IM, or E-mail me for help. Hope this helps and encourages everone on the board. |
