Free "DrumTrack" software if anyone's interested

As I am always looking for various free software, especially drum stuff I came across this and thought some of you might like to check it out. I have been messing with it a little bit and I like it. I like how it can import midi and save as wav. as well as using samples.

looks interesting, thanks for the link. Good to see more and more open-source audio software available.

Thanks, I needed just that.

Too bad it's very hard to make shuffles with ti, but at least I can program simple drum patterns (as almost every drum sample pattern has way too much going on for my taste)

re: Shuffles

I think I copied this text from a post here on TDPRI, thanks to the poster if so...I love all three of the artists mentioned and found this 'breakdown' of their respective drummers' style helpful:

"Drum patterns

The drums on a Ray Price shuffle(brushes doing a 1/4 note double bounce with both the right and left hand on the snare) are different from the drums on a Merle shuffle(brushes doing a 1/4 note shuffle bounce with the right hand on the snare while the left hand does a cross stick on 2 and 4), and those are both different from a Buck Owens shuffle(right hand does 1/8 note bounce on a tight closed high hat while the left hand does cross stick on 2 and 4)."
