YES!!! The Samick factory in Korea made the Washburn Washington J9 I have and the Schecter Diamond Jazz Elite J6 (pictured) I just sold. They are now called Prestiges. The bridges are blocked (versus a full sized block like a ES335). Excellent build quality on both, the Schecters Duncan designed PUPs were better than the stock Washburn PUPs, and the Schecter had a stop TP, while the Washburn has a trap. I paid $399 shipped for the J6 and $175 shipped for the J9 minus tuners and bridge. I put a set of Phat Cats in the J9 and sold the J6 last month. Ridiculously good guitars that get overlooked for the thousands of Ibanez and Epis out there at the same price point (owned a few of each, and declare the J9 and J6 superior). If you are anywhere near either model, try it out. Both models languish unsold on ebay, CL, etc.., do not pay too much as there is little resale unless you find an educated consumer.

Bobby Mc,
GLAD to see u have the same enthusiasm for 25 1/2" scale budget hollows!! Thanx for info. After playing my friend's Ibanez Articore that is 24 3/4" I thought, man, I would love to play as a responsive budget hollow but in 25 1/2". Any Rondo hollow users-- as posted in my link?? tanx!

"Do any of the cheaper (not made in Germany) Hofners qualify? I know they have some 25 1/2" scale guitars..."
ANYTHING counts since 25 1/2'ers are harder to find! thanx

Peavey JF-1 EXP
![]() I love this guitar! - portable enough to play on a kitchen stool unplugged, and sounds great into a tube amp stock. Low priced semi-hollow goodness.

+1 I got mine used with upgraded tuners (Gotoh) and PU's (Seymour Duncan's, not the original Duncan Designed) for $250 out the door with a hard shell case at GC.
