Ngd!! Epi les paul
Hey guys!
Just traded my 94 mim standard strat last night on c list for a beautiful old epi les Paul. Guy said it was form sometime in the 80s. I have no doubts if its real and it really doesn't matter to me if its not, but this thing plays and sounds great! It's very unique- Gibson klusen tuners, and the headstock is cut more like gibson a shape than epi's. really pretty too. Sorry for the grainy pics, lighting in my house sucks. New lp, agave blue strat, and sx prs copy. |

That guitar was only made for a short time with that headstock, 1989 for sure and possibly into early 1990, then they went to the headstock we see today.
The serial number if missing was on a white paper sticker at the top of the headstock and many of those Korean LPs from '89 had the long tendon. The bodies on many I've seen were not mahogany. |

Congratulations on the new guitar! I have and have had a number of Epiphones and the ones I've had were terrific quality. The ones I have now are terrific. If you like it, and it sounds good, that's all you need, right?

Right o idjster. The vox does have a line out... 8 ohms I think. Also a foot switch port and a headphone out on the top. After I posted I googled it and as it does have the gibby trc I figured that it used to have a sticker serial. Thanks for the kind words guys. Tonight I'm gonna go home and crank the crate to 10 and put it through its paces again.
Also, the body looks exactly like mahogany to me, I've had several cherry red g400 s and the wood looks the same |
