Looks like that's not beyond saving. What a knucklehead. The "luthier" should be cited for malpractice.

Photoshopped is why the holes are straight, not a cnc.

So glad the general consensus is that it is photoshopped! I was going to have nightmares about it!

I remember seeing Mark Knopfler being interviewed years ago and the reason he wanted a strat rather than a tele was that there were more knobs on it to play with.

Maybe this is one of his early LP's..........

Just think of all the tonal variations that you'd be able to get with all the electronic gizmos that must be built into that guitar. You could get rid of every effects pedal you ever owned.

And the double whammy bar is something that must be ever so useful as you'd be able to pull one bar up and the other one down at the same time to get you some totally unique sounds.

And let's be honest guys, it is only a 58 LP, not a 59. If it had been a 59 then the customising might have been questionable but not on a hack 58 which never had any mojo.

Some of Les Paul's creations looked as complex and confusing as this one, but this is 'shopped. Great pic, though!

I'm so gullible. All I could think of was Phil Lesh's Alembic bass with knobs, knobs and more knobs.

Looking closely the knobs appear to have been cloned as are the switches. The Bigsby has an impossible mod. The guy has a sense of humour, as well as basic photoshopping skills (though the knobs don't actually look straight!).
