Cool humbucker guitars that aren't Gibson, Fender, PRS, or "pointy."

I really want a humbucker guitar, and I'm sure I'll snag an SG eventually, but I've also been looking at some Eastwoods, Supros, Harmony, etc guitars. I'm not really sure what to look for, but this is a good a place as any to ask.

I play live shows, and play blues, rock, country, and slide. Something for you to keep in mind. Thanks!

Pics are always appreciated!

I went to a local show a few months ago where the front man played a Belvedere Deluxe, couldn't take my eyes off the thing.

Eastwood, Supro, and Harmony is a great start.

How about the easy to find Epiphone or Ibanez?

SG shape, too

If you like an alternative to the Gibson SG, how about ESP or LTD Viper?

I already mentioned the GC staples of Epi, Ibanez, and ESP. But I couldn't do these without mentioning the more vintage looking side of Schecter:

Gretsch has the Jets of course, but here's one to consider that nobody ever talks about. I have one. I love it. GREAT guitar, and you'll rarely if ever see people with them.

I know you said to leave Gretsch out, but I would give this a second look if you can find it. Lately, they've changed up the Corvette (or CVT) line to include some bolt-neck versions, but mine is set neck from a few years ago. They did a special run of natural finish ones, which is what I got. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

Here are two more "traditional" looking Schechters:

It's not 'cool', but it is functional: Yamaha Pacifica PAC 120S:

Wow, some great suggestions and that didn't take long.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Epiphone Wilshire. I'm kind of into guitars that you don't see that often, hence the thread, and it was a great suggestion. So was the Gretsch Corvette. Keep em' comin'!

I pretty much posted easily available guitars you can try out. But if you get to try one of these out, they are really well made for the money:

(It's a Daisy Rock guitar, but not pink and not with flowers):

First is a Music Man Axis Supersport. 5 way. Positions 2 and 4 give you splits of both inside coils/both outside coils.

Second is a Carvin CS3M and has a push/pull to split both coils.

(both are for sale :) )

My Ibanez AS103BM is very cool....

As is my Hagstrom Viking Deluxe

Not to mention the most over the top guitar in my collection - the D'Angelico New Yorker SD9

If you are looking for something more "cool" what about an Italia Mondial?
