My middle son has just called me from the UK and told me that he has purchased an electric guitar with his savings. He has bought himself a Les Paul copy, but that is not the point, there are guitars in his house that are better and he may have paid over the odds but he went into a guitar shop aged 11 and decided what he wanted and purchased it with his money. I'm very pleased that he has done this....hopefully on the right road.....one proud Dad!

I know the feeling, priorities straight at 11, and paid for it too. Happened here as well and I took it as a sure sign the kid will be alright...

Congrats!

(interestingly, only 30 odd years ago a parent might have taken it as a sure sign the kid was on a highway to hell...)
