Annie's have a definite cool factor. Not that other Gretschs aren't cool, but the Annie sets the standard. Congratulations & get a Bigsby for it.

The 6118 IS The anniversary model, right?. Is that why you, [and maybe it's general slang for Anniversary], call it Annie? My 1st band mate's father bought him one in 1966. Actually, the two pickup model was called the Double Anniversary model It was a beautiful sunburst one with all gold plated parts. He had too sell it in the early 70's because he needed the money. I would have held onto that guitar if I had to almost starve to death. It sounded soo coool. And the looks, the best. I love that green colored one, also. The green was the stock color, though I think they were green and tan two-tone.

I put a "paper in oil", .015 cap in my Telecaster. It sounds great, because the oil lubricates the electricity and makes it go faster. Last edited by Rod Parsons; April 22nd, 2012 at 10:16 PM. |
