Guitar Fetish Bigsby style trems.

Guitar Fetish just posted on facebook that next week they are coming out with a series inexpensive Bigsby style trems. I am curious about these, hoping they are not junky. I've got an Agile semi hollow body that it might be fun to put one on.

Cool. I emailed Jay(?) years back to enquire on this, since they do so much other inexpensive knockoff stuff. He said at the time he was still trying to source something.

If they could do something around 50$ that didn't suck it would be a major coup.

I can't wait! I'm hoping they have one along the lines of a B7 I can put on my Epi Dot.

It'd be cool if they also offer the vibrato arms separately.
I've got several old guitars that lost their whammy bars years ago and it'd be nice to have an affordable replacement available.

about two years ago I got a Teisco style bridge and trem as original replacements were going for more than what I paid for the guitar. I was not expecting much for $23, but what I got was a very solid and well made set of pieces that lines up with the stock holes and stays in tune very well. If they put out a Bigsby style with the same quality, they will sell a butt load.

they are releasing 3 versions, 1 for flat top guitars like tele's and sg's (along with a tele roller bridge ) and 2 others for archtop/ hollow body. not sure of the difference of the two, or what you would specifically need

The difference between the two seems to be there is one taht screws into the top in a few spots and the other doesn't screw into the top. There is one main thing I am concerned about with the non flat top ones and that is that in all the pictures it appears that the tail piece could use to be about an inch or two longer so the bar would be where you could grab it while you are playing.

I've been racking up a list of stuff I'd like from guitar fetish but don't really need and when these become available then that will probably tip the list so I place the order. Really want one of these for my Gretsch Junior Jet.

huh, didn't notice that until now...looks like it wouldn't be used for anything but giving some chords vibrato

Just ordered one of these (the B5 wannabe). Hopefully it will be great. It does solve two issues I have with the stock B5 - it adds 360 degree handle rotation, and a nice rounded handle. You can get that with the Chet Atkins handle, but that handle costs almost as much as this entire unit.

Not a Bigsby copy, really, but a slightly different take on it. I'm interested, though the floating tailpiece version just doesn't look right to me. I will be watching for reviews.
