Epiphone Nighthawk is awesome!
Been playing my new Nighthawk a lot. I am really liking the range of tones from the pickups. Quality is exceptional. Neck is comfortable D shape, frets are finished nicely. Ebony fretboard is smooth. Body shape is a little dinky but I'm getting used to it. Single coil tones are really nice too.

Nice, I've had one of these on my wish list for a while too. Kind of a strange-looking beast with that cluster of pickups, but I like the look!

Those Nighthawks are cool guitars. Congrats!
I can't remember if I read it on here or another site, but a former Gibson employee told the story of how the guitar was conceived to attract Fender players to the Gibson marquee. 25.5" scale length, more Fendery neck profile and ergonomics... |

I keep lusting after one of these.I really must check one out ..but then they bring out a 339.Really must check that one out too .Dare I go into a guitar store and trust myself not to walk out with one .The great thing about buying strings on the internet is that you dont walk past a store full of guitars to buy them .I never make it to the counter without trying out another guitar I dont need. One well set up tele with the right pickups will suffice all my needs and I have two .....plus a strat parts caster build in progress.

I've had my eye on the Nighthawk too. Love the small body. I have a Gibson Vegas Standard and an ES-446. Small bodies
I've been playing ES Gibsons all my life. I cannot tell the difference between Gibson and Epi's. The big difference is always price. Did you try a Gibson Nighthawk before you bought the Epi? I'm leaning towards the Epi unless someone says the Gibson Nighthawk is more superior |

I saw Johnny A. at a small summer resort in WI at a campground. Maybe 30 people. Great sound. Kinda labors in obscurity. But man there are alot of players in the world. But heck he got a Gibson endorsement and a Guitar named after him. Cool guitar too.

I've been lusting after one of these for a while. I can't decide whether to get a new EPI or buy a Gibson. I love the Gibby's in blue.

The Gibbys in blue is definitaly nice.
I wonder if the sales of the Epi's twisted Gibbys arm to release a higherend version again? Played mine the other night through my Bass trainer. Really needto get a decent amp to make the most of that mini humbucker. |

Never tried the epi version, but agree the Nighthawk is a fine and fun guitar. It feels really small, so takes a little getting used to, but it is very versatile.
My older gibby version (ST3):
