Holy caster copies batman!

Hey all, I love fender body shapes, neck shapes, headstock shapes, sounds and feels.... I just hate the price! So I build my own and have a CV squier. So far everything is good as or better than most fender's I've played (at less than half the price).

Well I am feeling the itch to build another instrument and I'd like to keep the fender style theme going with my builds since fender parts are easy to find and cheap. What should I build? I already have a strat, tele and a P bass. I am kinda thinking a jaguar bass, jazz bass (with P/J pups instead of the standard) or a jazzmaster guitar.

Here's a pic of the family so far:

Try what I did with my TelePaul and my "Son of Fido"

Which are both guitars with Fender style necks and specs and Gibson style bodies.

OR you can go Fender after Fender and make guitars shaped like his Musicman and G&L instruments.

A Musicman Sabre.

Telemaster with a P90 or mini-HB neck pickup.

Guitar:

a bolt-on les Paul style flat top body with a strat neck? Dual P-90's for sure. Tele style controls with a 4-way switch. I think a tele bridge would be kinda hokey lookin' on a les Paul body.

Matte red with a black pickguard? Nitro for sure and super thin.

Bridge style suggestions?? Maybe a cut ashtray so that I can have 3 barrel saddles and string through?

Bass:

jag body with a P neck. modern tuners (not clover or whatever they call em). Either dual P pickups or a P/J setup. Wiring would be a master volume and tone then a 3 way switch for P, PJ, J (replace J's with P's for the PP setup).

Standard bent metal bridge with 4 saddles. Matte black would be kinda cool with chrome hardware. Color is open to suggestions. Again super thin nitro.

So now I just have to choose between the 2.... I mainly play bass. My guitars are only used in church or by buddies that need a backup or standard tuned guitar to switch between drop tuned guitars during shows. I think the bass may happen since my tele strat and acoustic cover all of my guitar needs.

Do a Jazzmaster or Jagstang, for sure.
