Need help chosing Strat finish!!! AHHH!
ok so im looking to make a partscaster and i cant decide what to get! (for the record, the neck is 1pc maple, hardware is nickel/chrome, and the knobs/pup covers/switch tip/trem tip are bakelite)
here are the choices: 1. Olympic White w/ 1-ply white guard 2. Olympic White w/ anodized gold guard 3. 2-tone sunburst w/ 1-ply black guard AHH!! lol |

or
4. two tone sunburst with 1 ply white pickguard or maybe option 1 or change it to 1 ply black guard

Blonde with white, from your choices. you will never regret that. You may want something else down the road - but you'll never say "what was I thinking?"...
Sunburst is nice too, but I prefer white Pickguards on'em. Shell Pink and surf green seem to be the "in" colors lately. they look nice as well - so I don't think you can go too far wrong |

I vote number 2. You don't see too many with the gold pickguard. White on white and black on white....are so run of the mill. Go for paisley or something. My current strat is Lake Placid Blue with white pickguard. I have a bass in natural with a tortise shell pickguard, that looks good also.

How's about Two-tone burst with the gold anodized guard? Like a late 50's P-bass. I hate sunburst guitars, but I've got to admit that would look pretty tasty.

Oly white with gold pickguard looks good.
Or the traditional S/B with white - classic finishes never go out of style!
