NGD. Stolen Les Paul Special.
When I say stolen I mean I stole it from the shop I bought it from. Ms. Monster and I were doing some window shopping in Excelsior MN, and I decided to stumble into Minnetonka Music. Its just a small Mom n Pop type store that carries a few G&Ls some Fenders and mostly beginners models. A few weeks ago I went in and they had a beautiful black LP Special DC for sale. Used from probably the mid 90s, they were asking 799. I really had to talk myself out of buying it...but I left empty handed.

Today when i walked in I saw that same LP Special hanging up high on the wall. Maybe my eyes were failing me but I thought it had a tag for 499 on it....it did! I asked the clerk if I could try it out. I plugged it into a SCXD and ripped a couple mins. Ms TM was getting impatient and asked "Is that thing coming home with us or what?" I said if they will take 400 Ill buy it. I walked up to the counter and told the clerk Id buy it for 400 right now. He said meet me in the middle, I said no. He then said 425, I said no. He said 400 plus my awesome MN Vikings sweatshirt, again no. I said either sell it for 400 or hang it back up (Im so badass!), he groaned and said ok....

Here she is, my $400 2000 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut!!!!

Those are P-100 pickups not P-90s but still a great guitar for 400 bones.

That's a sweet guitar.

It reminds that I haven't yet bragged on the forum about my $300 Gibson LP Studio. And they threw in a Gibson USA case for free. I'm not kidding!! Like you I just 'walked into' that deal.

You rock Tele-Monster.......you are a rocking, negotiating marvel.

That guitar is beautiful.

I love P90 or P100 style pickups......either way you've got the edge of a single coil that just took steroids.

About 10 weeks ago I negotiated $100 off the sticker price on my Special. At $900 I thought that I did really well.......
