I've got to say, they're GAS producers at that price and with those looks.
But I'm strong... (and just spent $$$ on home recording stuff).

Berek, just search on "GFS" and "Xaviere" and you'll see people's opinions. I'm a fan of their pickups.

They're made in China, very good for the money IMO.

Things I've done:
-Reversed control plate and speed knobs
-Trem unit ($22 off GFS)
-New strings
-Rolled the fretboard

I'm going to replace the tuners with some split shaft at some point but they aren't bad. The nut was cut perfect from the factory and the frets were finished quite well.

Price would be a 10 (130 bucks)
Fit and finish I would give a 7
Quality is probably a 7 too.

All IMO and YMMV, yadda yadda. Hope that helped some

Thanks.

A search yielded lots of opinions all over the place. No substitute for sitting down with one first I guess.

I have that same trem on several of my guitars. It blows my Bigsby out of the water and it's $22. That guitar looks great.

I've been patiently waiting for GFS to get them back in stock.

Man oh man. That dark sunburst is giving me innappropriate thoughts!! It seems that GFS and Rondo have significantly upped their shipping prices to Canada recently. GFS wants $85 to ship one of these guitars to me!! That still might be a good deal but I have to say that getting dinged almost another hundred bucks takes away a good bit of the excitment. I guess someone else is going to have to buy it.

Thanks, if it was a bit lighter (the things over 9lbs ) I would probably be my favorite guitar. They said thats not normal (for it to be that heavy) but I got it on blem and I had already modified it.

I just ordered the surf green model, and I'm thinking about ordering a Bigsby upgrade.

Oh no...why did I look? I have to pay house taxes in a couple weeks! Or do I? Blasted! Maybe PennyCentury will tell us they are not worh it...I doubt it though, everything I've bought from these evil purveyors of GAS has exceeded my expectations. I should have opened a book instead.
