Not everything matches exactly, but then, I've never met the woman who ever stopped adjusting her makeup.

That IS a music stand (working on some new lyrics) - and also a tripod holding a Tascam DR-07 digital recorder.

Kingfish, Nice guitar. Did you have any trouble changing the pickup covers. I got a Casino on order and I hear that with the plastic covers feedback is somewhat reduced. lexx

I did have a few issues. For starters the chrome pickup covers were soldered to the pickups (with a LOT of solder) and had to be de-soldered. Not all Casinos are soldered, but this one was.

The neck pickup cover from stewMac was a little shallow for the thickness of the P-90 so I had to 'sink' the pickup slightly into the hollow by bending the tabs. I didn't really like doing this, but I was committed by that time. It adjusted out well, though. The bridge cover fit perfectly. The pickup outputs are well balanced.

I had another (deeper) neck pickup cover, but no matching bridge cover. The set from Stewmac featured different thicknesses, but wasn't quite the right fit for the neck.

I don't notice any difference in the feedback level, and that's good in my case, since for me, it's central to the Casino sound, and very controllable.

If I had one of these I'd be tempted to go sans pickguard.

It's got a cool ES-295 thing going.I'd be REAL tempted to take it further in that direction,put on a Bigsby and figure out a PG with those ES-295 flowers.

Question about the Casinos. If I got one I'd definitely remove the pickguard. Are there gonna be holes on the body of the guitar where the screws for the pickguard were?

When I was shopping for a hollowbody, I tried the ES-295 first and loved it. I was heartbroken when I was told it was sold. Then I found my Casino, and the sound was there.

I removed my pickguard, and yes there two screwholes where the pickguard attached. One on the lower bout on the front, the other on the side on the bottom. I don't notice them. I'm too busy looking at the larger F-holes!
