The neck and tuners was crap.Had a neck with rosewood fretboard and
locking tuners that i put on.Brass saddles,changed the strings.And..
love it.Pickups are just great, bluesy.Neck pickup is kind of dark but
it has something that i like. You really dont need expensive stuff for blues.

there's nothing wrong with you or that guitar...it looks great.

I don't see the value in spending 1000's of $ on guitars these days either....not while there are so many nice affordable ones that are every bit as good.

for instance (and IMO) there's nothing with Gibson written on it these days that is worth the money that they're asking....and I own a sub $200 Fender that plays every bit a nicely as one I'm now selling that cost nearly 10 times as much....I'll put in another $150 in for pups and it will actually be better.

$$$$$ are no indication of goodness any more.

Nicest guitar I ever played was a Mexican classic tele ... unfortunately I didn't buy it at the time even though it was peanuts, I haven't comes across one of quite the same calibre since. Conversely I've tried lots of expensive PRS's with every intention of buying and felt underwelhmed after trying them out for ages.
Guitars are personal things - Brian May, Eddie Van Halen and Eric Clapton used for much of their careers guitar knock ups with cheap parts that just happened to suit them.

Though I have to admit some expensive Gibsons have a mojo worth paying for.

I play a Squier '51 while my '89 Tele and '62 Jazzmaster have been relegated to Case Queens.

Thanks, guys.Feel better now.;)I have a Tonerider strat neck pickup that i planned to solder in.But,the pickups sounds so good i dont see any reason to mess with it.
Maybe later on when the urge for tweaking hits me.

As a rule, if I will be spending more than $300 on a guitar, it must be approved by the girlfriend. This keeps me from buying anything over said price. She knows that if I really really want it, though i will buy it anyway, but that hasn't happened yet. She'd only complain about it for a day or two, but if I don't think a guitar is worth that, it probably isn't.

Hey,Joe.It is a Harrier guitar.£85.I have been looking at the SX line but shipping to Sweden is $95,add to that 30% tax on the total. No way.I played for an hour and the
pups sound as sweet as the Toneriders i have in my other Tele.Maybe that the Toneriders have more clarity but i am confused here.I play through a Mustang II and
it is just loads of fun.The neck pocket is sligthly wider than standard. The finish is 100%.
Now they have orange Teles ,hm...
