NGD! Epi Les Paul 1960 Tribute

I was looking for a Les Paul to compliment my Teles, so i went to this small guitar shop not far from my place. I asked the guy there about an Epi Les Paul Standard and he showed me the 1960 tribute instead. I fell in love with the Gibson USA '57 Classic humbuckers, and the push/pull pots for single coil goodness was an added bonus. I'm thinking about adding a pickguard to it though.

I checked one out a few months back. I thought it was a cool guitar but I think the one I was playing wasn't a particularily great guitar for some reason. It just didn't feel right in my hands and it played rather stiffly as I recall. I'm sure there are some really nice ones though and I'm guessing you got one of them. Congrats.

I have a Gibby LP standard that looks a little like your epi. I kinda like them better with the guard on them too. I often wish I had the courage to put the pickguard on it but I'm afraid it will impact the value.

the same thought crossed my mind too about the value. But if it's something that'll make me like it even more, then so be it. I plan on having this one for a long time anyways.
