Epiphone Wildcat?

I played a epi. hollow body today that was a lot of fun. I think it was called a Wildcat? It had chrome dogear P-90s and a bigsby trem with a candy apple red finish and dual F holes. Pretty cool guitar but I dont know anything about Epiphones custom shop so Im waiting and thinkin on it.

Anyone play one of these things?

nice guitar, I had an alley kat which is the humbucker version without a bigsby. Nice but epiphone custom shop is not anything like a fender custom shop, I think they will put custom shop stickers on many of their guitars.

I have a Wild Kat in antique natural,which is closer to Gretch Orange on mine.Nice guitar,especially for the price.The P-90s are about the best pickups available on an Epiphone.Master volume lends some versatility.Tuning stability is good if you the nut and maybe swap out the bridge for a roller type.Overall a good quality axe.

Why would you never use it outside the house?

I've got one, they're a good guitar;

I was lucky to pick up a Epiphone Casino with Lollar P90s and Sperzel tuners from Rudy's in New York....the best tone ever...

Mine was a dud. A very cool looking guitar but it just never sounded great despite all the work I put into it. But I imagine like any model of guitar from any manufacturer there's going to be good ones and bad ones. I got a bad one.

The 'Epiphone Custom Shop' moniker is little more than a sticker used to set apart Epi's 'special edition' models... note that I didn't say 'limited edition', though they do seem to make fewer of them than other Epiphones. There isn't a special little shop in Jakarta turning these out in meticulous detail...

Mine was too. Never bonded with it. Initially I liked it, but it was a short honeymoon.
