Dano Lipstick

So i'm pretty excited i just won an original Dano lipstick pickup on ebay!!!

Looking forward to building something, i've got a tele neck and some bits n peices lying round, i'm thinking a doublecut telelectro with a hollow mdf body and floating bridge/tailpeice...

Should be a bit of fun!!
I'll be sure to post a build thread!

Sounds cool! I tend to do the same thing-buy an interesting pickup and then use it as an excuse to build another guitar! I swapped out the pups in my '63RI Dano and attached them to a common plate for a lipstick humbucker and installed them in my "Exploder". Then GFS came out with a lipstick 'bucker so that became my Baritone build.

Hmmm, sounds like you're looking for something similar to a Convertible? (Hey, any excuse to post a pic of my only vintage guitar...)

I stuck one in the middle position of this baby.

I love Dano pickups. Lower output but they sound great.

Hey, yeah that looks great! thinking very similar bridge/tail peice setup, only a more doublecut tele shape, and maybe a rick type hole... Haven't sketched anything i'll probly just start building and hope for the best!!! One vol one tone, or maybe just a single tone...

Seems like a fun excuse to build something - even if i don't use it much its better than a pile of parts!!

And Mr Kingma, i've seen this fine example of originality before, its really nice!
I don't think mine will quite have that same class...
