Here Comes the Sun... do do do do . it's alright..:)
"by degrees the flood of music drove all speculations out of his mind. It was as though it were a kind of liquid stuff that poured all over him and got mixed up with the sunlight that filtered through the leaves."
I lived in Toronto in the late sixties and I Loved it for the never ending free summer concerts of which lighthouse was often included. Great band.
As for summer songs and since pop was a Gershwin fan amoung others.
George Gershwins "Summertime" brings to my mind the dog days of summer sitting out in the soft evening breeze just feeling all was right with the world.
Ten Years After also did a version of Summertime which was a favourite and still is (it's a drummer thing). Even though it sounded nothing like Gershwins they gave credit to him on the album. George Gershwins "Summertime" (it ain't no tele thing). Just the first summertime song that came to mind. lol.
