Any East Bay Ray fans up in here?

I like his playing and ideals a lot better than his degenerate peers lol.He would always write riffs and lead fills that were interesting. And I think he's had an influence in my playing as well..

At first I hated singers like Jello and Iggy Pop. Now I laugh my A$$ off at em.

Here's another favorite vid..different band, but just a funny performance. like when after the guy breaks his guitar neck he's still able to do these unison bends Haha.and the singer at times sounds like Jim Morrison in a creepy sort of way.

Fan here!
I saw the dead kennedys twice when they toured Australia ...1983.
Peligro was arrested after the Brisbane show, not hard to do at that time under the govt of the day.
East bay ray was playing a Gretsch Astro Jet.

East Bay Ray was a surf guitarist in a nutsy hardcore punk band. They were at their best when they gave him room to show that off.

I actually have had "holiday in cambodia" on my favorites playlist for a couiple of weeks recently. Love that song so much and I had to abstain from listening to it for a long time because the more "evil" content of regarding the Khymer Rouge "bothered" my OCD (long story). Haven't heard a lot of dk stuff but the guitar on that song is amazing

I loved the DKs back in the day. My first "big" gig was opening for them in Charlottesville VA.

That's the first song I think of when I think of East Bay Ray's guitar playing too! It's so bouncy.
