Vince Makes It Look Easy!
Vince Gill is one of the greats, and one thing that amazes me about his playing is that he always makes it look so easy. Here's a clip, and he starts his lead on his '53 Tele at about 2:20 and doesn't wind up for about 2 and a half spellbinding minutes.

Huge Vince fan & having played for decades, I make anything other than rhythm or pretty simple fills look difficult if you watch my face.

That's what Leo & team had in mind when they designed the tele back in the days -- to get that very sound! No gizmos needed, just a cord and an amp.

I'm no strat-basher, but the difference in sound & feel between the first tune with the tele & the 2nd with the strat, same player, same gig, is pretty huge to my ears. They are different animals for sure.

I am awestruck every time I watch this one. George Jones once said that Vince Gill had a voice too pretty for country music- he's done alright for himself though...

Saw him about 3 weeks ago, he absolutely killed it!!! Every song, every anecdote, perfect. 2 hours and 20 minutes worth!!!
