How bout that Junior Watson

Certainly he's been around the block, quite a history playing with a lot of people over the years. I was listening to one of Mark Hummel's Harmonica blowouts and Junior seemed to be the guitarist for the night. Refered to as "one of the countries best musicians we ever had"
May be right, never heard about Junior much so I started checking him out.

Was turned on to him in the last few years. Just amazing! Was trying to figure out what he was doing on a couple of songs; No Way.

Probably my favourite player. So much humour and mojo in his playing.

Man, that guy has the sound! Love his phrasing, tone, the intent behind it all. Yeah, one of the best.

Junior seems to be a great guy as well as a great musician. Wouldn't it be cool to hang with him for a while?-the guys a walking encyclopedia of guitar history. He's got some good clinics posted-this one from 2011 has 7 parts and is well worth watching.

Junior is a really entertaining performer, both on vocals and guitar. Seen him in small clubs around LA a few times. Catch him if you can. Great choice of material. He throws in funny little quote figures in the middle of his solos to catch you off guard. That guitar he's playing in the seminar is a prototype for his signature model. Not a lot of info out there on this, but it's got a big neck like a Stratotone.
Swang on,
