Your Shadows?
As far as i can recall, it was the Shadows who strongly advised me to love guitar music, especially solos and instrumentals, the most
Who are your Shadows? |

Instrumentally it would have to be the Ventures and Duane Eddy.

Nirvana made me want to pick up the guitar, but hearing "Live Dead" a few years later made me want to actually know what I was doing...

I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by music and musicians in my early years.
My dad played and started me out young. One of my earliest memories of a song that he turned me on to was Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. Shortly after that, we moved to Tennessee and I was surrounded by the influence of all the greats of country singers of the early '60's. Crazy about Don Rich and Del Reeves guitarist, George Owens. |

I do nothing like him at all & never tried to learn his stuff note-by-note or even close...but think it was Hendrix that made me want to pick up a guitar when I was about 17. Took a few more years before I could even afford one.

The Shadows and Wilsey. I wish Wilsey and I were still friends as we seemed to have so much in common. :o(

Sorry, it's an impromptu old DR-07 live recording. Gain setting obviously too high.
