I went to see this guy when this song was current.
The best part of his show was that he had Russ Kunkel, Lee Sklar, Danny Kortchmar, Bobby Tench and Nicolette Larson as his backup band.

Have You Ever Loved A Woman from the Layla album. Incredible passion in every sung and played note. It almost makes the title track sound like an afterthought.
