Ringo Starr........

I was going through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tonight and I saw that the Beatles were in the Hall of Fame, and Geroge, Paul, and John were there as Solo Artists.

So I looked for Ringo. Guess what?
That's right, he isn't a member as the other 3 of the band are.

Now I know that he didn't play with them in Germany much, but from the start of their journey he was part of the essential sound that was The Beatles.

Just kind of ticks me off that a person who was part of such a momentous force for change and good in history is left out of his own story.

Ringo's backbeat was a huge part of their sound, loved those splashy crash beats.

If I recall correctly, at one point Ringo had sold more records as a solo artist than any of the other three (may not be the case any more).

The Beatles have been inducted, Ringo (as a solo artist) hasn't. I don't have a problem with that.

Me neither, as much as I love Mr. Starkey.

Well, I know that John, Paul, George have all been inducted as solo artists.
Ringo has spent the last 20 years playing as a solo artist, but more than that
he has opened himself up to his fans in a way that John and Paul would never
do.
For a long time Ringo would get inundated by mail from fans who had sent him
articles to autograph, and he had no problem with it. Imagine, coming to work
and 300 pieces of mail are waiting for you and all of them are requests for an
autograph.
That's the kind of guy he is. He is very humble and again, was part of one of
the most influential groups of musicians in history.
I know that some won't think that this is that important. But it just takes a
second to visit the site and add your voice.
But it is a personal decision and so if you don't, cool.
Thanks for checking out the thread.

Yeah, AB I wrote in the original post that the Beatles as a group were in the Hall.
But as a solo artist, not so much.

+1

The "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" is a running sore.

Just a money making scheme. Not interested.
